More than 10,000 residential buildings in 39 regions of the Russian Federation have been flooded. Residential buildings in the Orenburg, Kurgan, Samara, Altai Krai, and other regions are flooded.

In particular, two neighborhoods, 17 residential subdivisions and three settlements within the city of Orenburg have been flooded. 786 people, including 35 children, were evacuated from the flooded area. The peak of the flooding in Orenburg is expected on April 10.
In the Kurgan Region, where the water is approaching, more than 10,000 houses, household plots and summer cottages may be flooded. The Governor urged residents of a number of areas to evacuate.
Residential buildings have also been flooded in Samara Region, Altai Krai and other regions. Weather is expected to warm up in the Siberian, Volga and Central Federal Districts, which means active snowmelt and ice breakup on rivers.
