Russian military helicopter crashes near St. Petersburg: crew killed

On Tuesday, March 18, a Russian military Mi-28 helicopter crashed near St. Petersburg. It was performing a training flight.

This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian media reports.

It is noted that the helicopter crashed in the Volosovsky district of the Leningrad region.

The aircraft crashed in a deserted area, far from populated areas.

"The press service of the Leningrad Military District informed the media that the helicopter was in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Ministry of Defense reported that the crew was performing a training flight," the report says.

All crew members died.

As Apostrophe reported, at the end of last year, Russian air defense shot down another of its helicopters.
