Former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who fled Ukraine in 2014, plans to become a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
This was reported by the media resource T-Invariant.
Azarov has already been registered as a candidate for membership in the Russian Academy of Sciences. The elections will be held in 2025. However, it turned out that he has a zero Hirsch coefficient — a key indicator of the quality of a scientist. Azarov has no scientific publications at all.
" It is difficult to remember when there were scientists with a Hirsch index of ZERO running for academicianship. However, this is exactly the indicator of the candidate in the field of "mountain sciences" Mykola Azarov ," notes T-Invariant.
The calculation was carried out based on publications in journals included in the Web of Science, Scopus, and Russian Science Citation Index, to protect against "cheating" due to publications in "garbage" journals.
Recall, Azarov was a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, but in 2022 he was expelled from its membership.
As Apostrophe reported, Azarov, together with other collaborators , founded the "Club of National Unity" in Moscow . At the first meeting, the club's members declared that the Ukrainian nation must be completely destroyed and that the real goal of the so-called "SVO" is not denazification, but "the destruction of the national identity of Ukrainians."
