A large-scale fire broke out at a shipyard in Russia

A fire broke out at the Onega Shipbuilding Plant in Petrozavodsk, Russia.

This is reported by Russian media.

The fire area is 1,500 square meters. Three people were injured in the fire, but there were no fatalities.

The preliminary cause of the fire at the factory is believed to be a gas cylinder explosion.

Russian publications recall that two and a half months ago, the assistant to the Russian dictator Nikolai Patrushev and the presidential envoy to the Northwestern Federal District, Alexander Gutsan, together with the head of Karelia, launched the equipment of Russia's first digital shipyard at the plant.

Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant is a ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise of Rosmorport in Petrozavodsk. The plant produces pilot boats, dredging barges, ice-strengthened work boats, and repairs Rosmorport vessels.
