A court in Kyiv had cancelled the decision on arresting Yanukovych: what is happening

The Kyiv Court of Appeal overturned its decision to arrest in absentia former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. This was reported by the publication "Graty" from the courtroom.

The decision regarding the Maidan in Kyiv on February 18-20, 2014 was cancelled. Earlier, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv in absentia chose a measure of restraint for Yanukovych in the form of detention.

According to TASS, citing lawyers, the case was sent for reconsideration

As reported by "Apostrophe", earlier the Criminal Court of Cassation in the Supreme Court unblocked the review of the decision on special confiscation of funds related to ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. These are special confiscations of $ 1.5 billion from companies working with the ex-president who fled. In April 2017, a court in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, ruled to confiscate funds from Yanukovych and his entourage.
