Enemy tries to capture villages near Avdiivka, Ukrainian Armed Forces withdraw from their positions: what's happening at the front

Russians continue to put pressure on the outskirts of Avdiivka, significantly increasing the intensity of air strikes and deploying a lot of manpower. Ukrainian Armed Forces units have withdrawn from the village of Lastochkino.

This was reported by Anatoliy Nikitin, junior sergeant of the BpAK battalion, 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, on Hromadske Radio.

"The enemy is putting a lot of pressure, started to use guided aerial bombs, the so-called KABs, it does not spare them. The enemy is trying to displace us out, its plan is clear. It is moving along natural obstacles, trying to take such settlements as Lastochkine, Pervomayske, Orlivka, etc...," the military said.

In response, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to inflict the most effective fire damage on enemy manpower. Russians hardly use heavy equipment, they conduct massive air strikes and then use infantry.

At the same time, Dmytro Lykhoviy, Spokesman for the Tavria unit, said that Ukrainian forces had withdrawn from the village of Lastochkine, which is near Avdiivka.

According to him, the Defense Forces withdrew in order to organize defense near the villages of Orlivka, Tonenke and Berdychi and to prevent further Russian advancement in the western direction.
