Saakashvili named the culprit of the fire at London Heathrow Airport

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has responded to the ongoing fire incident at London's Heathrow Airport, which broke out on March 21. The politician has voiced who, in his opinion, could be behind it.

He wrote about this on the social network X.

"Who can believe that Russia is not behind the electrical fire at Heathrow Airport?" the post reads.

As is known, on March 21, one of the busiest airports in Europe, Heathrow, stopped operating due to a fire at a substation. The incident affected about 1,350 flights and more than 290,000 passengers. At the time of the information about the incident, 120 planes were in the air and were due to land at Heathrow Airport.

The fire left 67,000 homes without power, and dozens of people were evacuated from nearby buildings.

The fire was reported to have started in a transformer, a key part of the substation, where 25,000 liters of cooling oil ignited. Several airport terminals are without power due to the fire.

According to Sky News, citing the fire brigade, about 10% of the substation is still burning.
