"There is a question about the real identity": the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied information about the service of an Iranian journalist

The International Legion of Defense of Ukraine denied information that Iranian journalist Kurosh Sehati had joined its ranks.

This was reported by military correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko.

He noted that one nuance was indeed confirmed, namely that a person with that name had applied to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Kurosh Sehati, who positions himself as a journalist from Iran, did indeed apply to join one of the International Legions of Ukraine," he quoted the response from the legion command.

However, they stated that as of now, no contract for military service has been concluded with the person who provided documents under the name of Kurosh Sehati, and who positions himself as a journalist from Iran.

This person was not sent for training in the units of the International Legions. He was also not sent to the area of combat operations, and this person did not receive or perform any combat or other tasks from the command.

Tsaplienko drew attention to the fact that he was called "the person who provided the documents, named Kurosh Sehati," suggesting that there must have been questions about his true identity.

As a reminder, the Iranian service "Radio Liberty" recently reported that journalist Kurosh Sehati, who worked for the British television company Iran International when the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has joined the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
