Ukraine rescues military officer's daughter and wife from occupation

The daughter and wife of a Ukrainian military officer were returned to Ukraine from the temporarily occupied territory as part of a rescue mission. This was achieved thanks to the president's initiative Bring Kids Back UA.

This was announced by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.

As the politician noted, the family tried to leave several times without success. In particular, during one of the attempts to cross the border, Russian servicemen, checking documents and personal information in the database, discovered that the father was serving in the Ukrainian army. This made it impossible to safely leave on their own.

"After that, any independent evacuation attempt became too dangerous. For a long time, they lived in fear and uncertainty," Yermak said.

However, thanks to the Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights, the family was able to leave the occupation by choosing a safe route.

"Today the family is together again. There is a period of adaptation ahead, but the family will not be left alone. They will receive the necessary support from psychologists and social workers," he said.

The Head of the President's Office expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Network for the Rights of the Child for its assistance in organizing the rescue mission.

As "Apostrophe" wrote earlier, two more children from the temporarily occupied territory were recently returned to Ukraine.
