The General Staff of the Armed Forces has denied Russia's claims about alleged Ukrainian attacks on its energy facilities.
This is stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
They emphasized that the Russians are disinformation to divert world attention from their crimes against Ukraine.
"Russia always accompanies its vile acts with lies. The Russian Defense Ministry is once again spreading false statements about Ukraine's alleged "violation" of the ceasefire agreements regarding energy facilities. The enemy is doing this solely to divert world attention from the crimes that the Russian state is committing against Ukraine and Ukrainians," the General Staff reported.
In particular, there were statements about 14 alleged "strikes" by the Defense Forces of Ukraine against Russian energy facilities during the day on April 4. While the Armed Forces of Ukraine are striking exclusively military targets of the Russian occupation army.
"Instead, it is the Russian invaders who continue to demonstrate their insane nature, cynically ignoring any agreements and carrying out ruthless attacks against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and ordinary cities and villages," the post says.
The General Staff emphasized that on April 4, Russian terrorists committed another war crime by striking Kryvyi Rih with an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a cluster warhead in order to hit the area as much as possible and cause more casualties. The Russians also attacked Ukraine with 92 Shahed attack drones, dropped 171 guided bombs, and used artillery more than 6,000 times. Civilian and critical infrastructure facilities in Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr regions and other regions were damaged.
"The military department of the terrorist state is once again resorting to false accusations, trying to shift its own responsibility for prolonging the war and the loss of lives onto Ukraine. We expect that the world will not accept Russia's lies and will condemn yet another brutal Russian war crime...", the General Staff added.
We previously wrote that on the night of April 5, in Chapayevsk, Samara Oblast, Russia, SBU strike drones disabled the Promsintez enterprise. The plant is considered one of the leading manufacturers of industrial explosives.
