Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat, who previously voiced the reason for the deterioration in the shooting down of enemy ballistic missiles , emphasized that although the Russians are modernizing their air attack capabilities, this only complicates, but does not make the work of air defense impossible.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"The key word is COMPLICATE, not make it impossible!!!" - Ignat emphasized.
He noted that the Patriot missile system is a unique system that is capable of operating against aerodynamic targets (aircraft, cruise missiles) within a radius of up to 150 km, and against ballistic missiles - but only within a radius of several dozen kilometers.
"It is impossible to protect large territories from "ballistics", given that we do not have so many Patriots. 24/7, Air Force servicemen are on duty and doing everything possible to shoot down as many Russian missiles and drones as possible," Ignat emphasized.
Recall that Ukraine previously provided the US with data for further modernization of Patriot systems so that they could shoot down already modernized ballistic missiles launched at Ukraine from Russia.
