The Armed Forces of Ukraine provided data to the US for the modernization of Patriot systems

Ukraine provided the US with data for further modernization of Patriot systems so that they could shoot down already modernized ballistic missiles launched at Ukraine from Russia.

This was stated by Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a national telethon on April 6, 2025.

He emphasized that the enemy is modernizing ballistics.

"Patriots showed good results in shooting down Kinzhals, there were Iskanders. Now it is more difficult to do this, because the enemy is still modernizing ballistic missiles," Ignat said.

According to him, Ukraine is sharing this information with partners.

"Of course, Ukraine shares this information with Western partners so that they take this information into account and also modernize and make Western weapons more effective. This applies to Patriot systems, IRIS-T systems, and Nasams," said the spokesman for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ignat noted that so far only Patriot can handle ballistics.

"We would like, we repeat every time, that the Patriot system works really effectively in terms of ballistics. We would like both Nasams and IRIS-T to be able to counter the ballistic threat. But currently only the Patriot system really works," the spokesman for the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

As Apostrophe reported, on April 6, 2025, Ukraine managed to shoot down one of 6 ballistic missiles launched from Russia.
