A Chinese citizen who was captured by Ukrainian soldiers at the front told how he ended up in the Russian army.
This was reported by the press service of the OTU "Luhansk", writes UP.
During the fighting near Bilogorivka, soldiers of the 81st Separate Mechanized Brigade captured three enemy soldiers. Among them was a Chinese citizen. The detention occurred during hostilities, when the enemy assault group, under fire pressure from the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular drone operators, decided to surrender.
According to the prisoner, he joined the enemy through an intermediary in China, paying 300,000 rubles for it. He was promised Russian citizenship.
The Chinese man underwent military training in the occupied territory of Luhansk region - without an interpreter, using gestures and a smartphone. He also noted that some members of the group had problems with the law in the PRC.
According to the prisoner, the training included basic military skills and was conducted without an interpreter. Due to lack of knowledge of the language, he had difficulty navigating the situation during the assaults. During the battle, the group suffered losses and, unable to continue the resistance, surrendered.
He is currently cooperating with the investigating authorities. His identity and citizenship have already been confirmed. He said that his family knew about his desire to go to Russia, but he officially left as a tourist.
