The Tyvriv District Court of Vinnytsia Oblast sentenced a local resident who killed his relative who wanted to save him from suicide.

The murder occurred on November 24, 2024 in the village of Sutysky, Vinnytsia region.
A Ukrainian man, who had been living in Slovenia for the past few years, where he worked as a pizzaiolo (making pizzas), came to visit his relatives, namely his uncle, in the Vinnytsia region.
As is customary at a meeting, the relatives set the table and had a drink. Then the uncle announced that he needed to go to Kyiv.
The guest stayed at home with his uncle's wife and his daughter, his cousin.
When the sister went to rest, the guest went into the bathroom, where he decided to commit suicide by slitting his wrists.
He locked himself in the bathroom from the inside, climbed into the shower, cut the veins on his left arm, and waited for death.
Around midnight, his cousin wanted to go to the bathroom. Since it was closed, the sister called her mother. Together they broke down the door to the bathroom, where the shower stall was, and found their guest covered in blood, with a cut vein. The man was still showing signs of life, but was almost unconscious.
His uncle's wife called an ambulance and began administering first aid herself. When he regained consciousness, he immediately asked if an ambulance had been called.
When the woman confirmed this, he became angry, grabbed a knife and started stabbing her. After several blows, the woman fell.
Her daughter called the police.
The police detained the man, and the ambulance doctors pronounced the woman dead.
The detainee could not explain the reason for his aggressive actions because he was drunk. He only mentioned that he used drugs, namely amphetamine. He did this in Slovenia.
As it turned out, the detainee is registered with a psychiatrist with a diagnosis of mental and behavioral disorders due to the use of several drugs and other psychoactive substances.
At trial, the accused fully admitted his guilt in the murder of his relative. The court sentenced him to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
