The Ukrainians were shown the operation of the "Tryzub" laser weapon, in particular the operation of the complex on a ground target and a drone. The blinding of an enemy FPV drone on fiber optics was also recorded.
Vadym Sukharevsky, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about the new generation of weapons.
Among the characteristics of "Trident": the weapon is capable of hitting ground and air targets; destroying strike drones, aerial bombs, cruise and ballistic missiles at a distance of up to 3 kilometers; helicopters and airplanes, drones at a distance of up to 5 km. In addition, "Trident" is capable of optically suppressing (blinding) UAVs, cruise missiles, helicopters and airplanes at a distance of up to 10 km.
In the video, Sukharevskiy noted that today Ukraine is the fifth country to have laser weapons.
"Today, we can already shoot down planes with this laser at an altitude of over 2 km. And we are now on the way to scaling, strengthening, and making [this weapon]. It [the laser] really works, it really exists," said the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
Previously, we reported that Ukraine had begun destroying enemy targets with laser weapons .
