"On the eve of Easter and after it": Zelenskyy warned Ukrainians about possible new strikes by the Russian Federation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Ukrainians to be cautious on the eve of Easter and after it due to possible new attacks by Russian occupiers.

The head of state said this during a meeting with energy professionals.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine managed to get through the third winter of a full-scale war without a blackout.

"It was difficult, there were many threats, outages, losses. But Ukraine preserved its energy system - unified, working. And this is an extremely important achievement of our people, the people themselves. Many people who protect energy facilities, restore them after strikes, repair them - and even under fire - build what is needed for protection, ensure the operation of power plants, networks - our entire energy sector," the president said.

But he added that this does not mean that the threat is no longer there.

"We know what Russia is preparing for. There is data from our special services, from intelligence. Now - both on the eve of Easter and after it - new strikes by Russia are possible. We will continue to defend our country, our energy sector," Zelenskyy stressed.

As a reminder, three people, including a child, were killed as a result of a Russian drone strike on the Dnieper River on Wednesday evening, April 16 .
