On the night of the drunkard, April 18, the enemy struck Ukraine with 43 air attack vehicles, including 6 missiles of various types and 37 attack UAVs. In the morning, it was confirmed that 26 air targets had been destroyed.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command.
It is noted that from 7:30 p.m. on April 17 and during the night of April 18, the Russian occupiers carried out a strike on Ukraine with ground-based missiles and strike UAVs.
The Air Force Radio Engineering Troops have previously detected 6 missiles of various types and 37 attack UAVs (simulator drones of other types), including:
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile (launch area – Crimea);
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – TOT Zaporizhia region, Crimea);
- 37 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of simulator drones (launch areas - Millerovo, Kursk).
The enemy air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In the morning (as of 09:30), the Air Force confirmed the shooting down of 26 air targets:
- 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 23 Shahed attack UAVs.
Another 10 enemy drones were lost in the field.
The Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions were affected by the Russian attack.
"Apostrophe" reported that in Sumy the enemy struck an industrial facility. In Kharkiv an enemy missile struck a densely populated area. And in Dnipro a missile attack damaged a fitness center, a hotel, and an office.
