A fatal fire broke out on the Sumy-Kyiv train

JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported a tragic incident that occurred on the "Sumy - Kyiv" train due to a fire on April 18. Because of this, the train will arrive with a delay.

This was reported by the press service of UZ.

As noted, the emergency occurred on train No. 115 "Sumy-Kyiv" near the "Putivl" station, which is a 4th class intermediate railway station of the Konotop Directorate of the South-Western Railway.

A fire broke out in one of the carriages. As a result, it became known that a railway worker had died. The passengers in the carriage were not injured.

The fire has already been localized, and its causes are being established.

The train continued to Kyiv without the four uncoupled cars.

"All passengers were transferred to free seats in other cars, the delay is about 1 hour, but will be reduced," the press service added.
