A car carrying 58-year-old Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalyk, was blown up on April 25 by a Ukrainian patriot.
This was reported by journalist Yuriy Butusov on Telegram, referring to Russian propaganda media.
According to published information, one of the main Russian military commanders was eliminated by a native of Ukraine, Ignat Kuzin, who moved to Russia from the Sumy region in 2015.
It is known that in January of this year he purchased a car, and in March he rented an apartment in the same entrance of house No. 2 on Nesterov Avenue in Balashikha, where Moskalyk lived.
On April 16, a Ukrainian parked a Volkswagen Golf near the entrance, leaving a video camera connected to a phone and a powerful homemade explosive device.
On April 19, Kuzin flew to Turkey; his further whereabouts are unknown.
At 10:40 a.m. on April 25, a Russian lieutenant general stepped out of the entrance and a powerful explosion thundered.
"A high-ranking Russian war criminal was destroyed on the spot, no people were injured. An outstanding feat of Ukrainian patriots!" Butusov added.
The journalist referred to data from the Russian publication "Baza", which published a photo from 10-12 years ago with Ignat Kuzin. According to the publication, in 2015 he registered in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
Kuzin bought the fateful car in early February 2025. The previous owner, Andriy P., said that during the purchase, Kuzin behaved normally and did not arouse any suspicions.
"The Base" interviewed the residents of the house - several people immediately remembered that a Volkswagen Golf, loaded with an IED based on VOGs (shots for a grenade launcher), was parked right in front of the entrance on April 16. At that time, the man who left this car was last seen near the car. Today, at about 10:40, when General of the Russian Defense Ministry Yaroslav Moskalyk left the house, a bomb went off in the car - the serviceman died on the spot," the propagandists added.
