Ukrainian military continues active combat operations in certain areas of the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, referring to the report of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky.
According to current information, the situation on the front remains difficult. As of mid-Sunday, April 27, there had been almost 70 Russian assaults on Ukrainian positions. The most fighting was in the Pokrovsky, Kramatorsk, Lymansky, and Kursk directions.
"Ukraine continues to defend its independence and land in battles. The situation on the front and the real activity of the Russian army prove that the current pressure from the world on Russia to end this war is not enough. It will soon be fifty days since the Russian Federation has ignored the United States' proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine accepted this proposal on March 11. More tangible pressure on Russia is needed to give more opportunities for real diplomacy," the president noted.
