Victory in modern warfare depends entirely on the implementation of innovation and the latest technologies.
This opinion was expressed by the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine to Britain Valeriy Zaluzhny.
According to him, now unmanned systems and digital technologies have appeared, and traditional types of weapons have become history. Armored vehicles, which have been the basis of offensive operations since 1915, are now defenseless against cheap drones.
"High-precision weapons that used GPRS positioning are no longer effective due to the development of electronic warfare. Cheap drones have appeared, and therefore it is economically inexpedient to use expensive missiles for air defense systems. The airspace above the battlefield has become inaccessible to manned aircraft, turning it into an auxiliary means of air defense. And the sea space has gradually been occupied by naval drones. Now powerful ships are hiding in protected ports," Zaluzhny notes.
According to the former commander-in-chief, it is necessary to rethink the forms and methods of applying new technologies.
"This is a challenge for the whole world. And it is not just a matter of supporting Ukraine - it is a matter of joint readiness for a new era of war, dominated by technology, information, and automation of decisions," Zaluzhny concluded.
We also recall that earlier Valeriy Zaluzhny spoke about the two most important decisions that Ukrainian soldiers must make.
