The editor-in-chief of the Ukrainian publication "European Truth" Serhiy Sydorenko believes that Ukraine and its Western partners have lost the war.
The journalist expressed this opinion in the "Ukrainian Truth" podcast.
He noted that Ukraine needs a freeze on hostilities, but not under any conditions. This is necessary because the Ukrainian side cannot fight without proper military support.
"...the international reality is such that fighting simply by yourself, as they said "with shovels" is a noble but somewhat stupid gesture. Therefore... I will say now what many will not like, I have been saying this to Western partners for a long time, but it seems that I am saying it to the Ukrainian audience for the first time, but this is reality, but we will have to communicate and admit it honestly: Ukraine lost the war. This is already a fait accompli," the journalist said.
In his opinion, Ukraine, together with its Western partners, lost to the Russian Federation, North Korea, and Iran.
"...And Ukraine and its Western partners lost it. Together. Because we... Well, the US, they don't care that they lost. But they are also in this trio. The US, Europe and Ukraine together lost the war with Russia... North Korea and Iran," Sydorenko said.
As Apostrophe wrote, US President Donald Trump stated that temporarily occupied Crimea will remain with Russia.
It is worth adding that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov suggested that Trump is perhaps "the only leader on Earth" who supports the Kremlin's justification for the war. He is talking about Ukraine's rapprochement with NATO.
