"Urgently scare Ukrainians!" Is it true that Putin ordered the "Oreshnik" to hit Kyiv?

Russian media, citing "sources", have begun actively spreading reports that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has allegedly instructed Oreshnik to respond in the event of a "provocation" on May 9 during the so-called truce, which the Kremlin dictator had previously spoken about.

"Apostrophe" found out what people in Ukraine think about this.

The spread of the message about "Oreshnik" began on the morning of May 7. In particular, they wrote that, according to Moscow, Kyiv would not accept the three-day truce previously announced by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. And the almost daily drone attacks on a number of Russian regions and Moscow will most likely continue after the "start date" of Putin's truce.

In view of this, Roskanal writes that Moscow is expecting other possible serious "provocations from Ukraine" and is "preparing for a response." In particular, Russia is supposedly planning a strike with "Oreshnik." They also cite "sources" that report that Putin allegedly instructed the Russian Defense Ministry to identify targets for the strike.

Ukrainian war correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko noted that "Russian information scumbags have been tasked with scaring Kyivans with "Oreshnyk"":

"The Mash Telegram channel writes that Putin has identified targets in Kyiv for the Oreshnik. In the event of a strike on Moscow on May 9, Russia will allegedly immediately strike the Ukrainian capital with the Oreshnik, resonates the INSIDER-T Telegram channel. This message is actually repeated by NEWS.ru and other pro-Kremlin resources. Everyone refers to "analysts", "sources" and "insiders"."

At the same time, official Russian sources are silent and do not comment on whether this report is true.

Military blogger Kirill Sazonov also commented on this topic:

"Urgently scare Ukrainians! Russian channels and our useful i***s are already spreading sensational news. They say that the bunker rat instructed to select targets in Kyiv for a "corresponding" strike by "Oreshnik" in the event of an attack on Moscow on May 9."

He recalled that there are no and have never been any retaliatory strikes from Moscow:

"Just as the large-scale operation was not a response to the mythical threat of NATO or the salvation of Russian-speakers. Russia's aggression and missile strikes on Ukraine are their deliberate strategy. On their initiative. This is not a reaction, not a response. This is aggression by all available means. Their attack or bombing does not require a pretext or reason. Do not look for logical motives in the attack of a maniac or a rabid dog."

In turn, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, decided to recall one nuance regarding the second launch of the Russian "Oreshnik":

"Putin forgot to specify that the second launch of the "Oreshnik" was generally unsuccessful - it simply did not fly. In general, all these horror stories about the "Oreshnik" mean a very simple message: don't attack Moscow, we are afraid, we have the "Oreshnik". Something like that."

Instead, let us recall that on Wednesday night, May 7, the enemy carried out a massive drone attack on Kyiv and the region. The attack killed two residents of the capital and injured 8.
