Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has prepared a manual for school teachers on how to talk to children about Russia's war against Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The manual contains methodological recommendations. They are designed to help schoolchildren to form a complete picture of the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war, starting with 2014 and including a full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.
The manual contains three sections:
"What" - what to pay attention to when talking about the war;
"Why" - the importance of talking about the war in school;
"How" - on how to convey information through specific exercises and techniques.
According to Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, the task of the education system is to form in the citizen a holistic picture of the events taking place around him, to give an awareness of their root causes. The lessons outlined in this manual are designed to help students form an active civic position, teach them to differentiate between facts and fakes, and not to succumb to manipulation and Russian propaganda.
