The United States can provide $ 250 million of military aid to Ukraine, as was stated on the official website of the US Congress.
This decision was adopted under the US Defense Budget Bill for 2021. The draft law was supported by 335 congressmen, with 78 congressmen voting against the aid.
Ukraine is expected to receive the money as a part of a security assistance initiative. $ 250 million will be allocated to support and assist the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is also noted that the bill was adopted separately in different versions by both the House of Representatives and the Senate, then being reduced to a single document. Now, the project needs to be re-approved by both houses of the US Congress.
The bill also entails sanctions against Russia for the Nord Stream 2 and against Turkey for the Turkish Stream. The project also provides the allocation of money for the needs of the Pentagon.
