Drone debris falls in Kyiv

On the morning of Tuesday, March 18, an air raid alert was sounded in Kyiv due to a drone threat. After air defenses worked, the drone's debris fell on the school grounds.

The air raid alert in the capital was declared at 09:00 and lasted for 21 minutes.

"According to preliminary information, in the Desnyansky district of the capital, debris was recorded falling on the territory of a school. Emergency services are heading to the scene," he noted.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, clarified that the fall of the fragments of the downed UAV was recorded on the territory of an educational institution on Putyvlska Street in the Desnyanskyi district.

"A fire is burning in an open area. Services are working. Information about damage and casualties is being clarified. School students were in shelter during the alarm," Tkachenko informs.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as of 09:00, it had managed to shoot down 63 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

Another 64 enemy drones were lost in the field.
