The meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine was held on Friday, February 19. During the meeting, the Council made a decision on the imposition of sanctions against, the People's Deputy of Ukraine, a member of the "Opposition Platform - For Life" party, Viktor Medvedchuk and several other deputies.

This was stated by the Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, as was reported by the Observer agency.

"The meeting of the National Security and Defense Council was ended, during the meeting, it was decided to introduce the appropriate package of sanctions against Victor Medvedchuk, Oksana Marchenko and a number of other deputies and other people associated with the ‘Medvedchuk Holding," the Interior Minister of Ukraine stated.

According to the telegram channel Klymenko Time, a full list of individuals subject to sanctions includes:

- Konstantin Vatskovsky (citizen of the Russian Federation)

- Vitaly Donchenko (citizen of the Russian Federation)

- Natalia Lavrenyuk

- Sergey Lisogorsk (citizen of the Russian Federation)

- Oksana Marchenko

- Alexander Maslyuk (citizen of the Russian Federation)

- Viktor Medvedchuk

- Mikhail Popov (citizen of the Russian Federation).

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine called for the imposition of sanctions on "financing terrorism" grounds.
