The EU extended sanctions against Yanukovych and his entourage: two ex-officials were de-listed

The European Union has extended the sanctions against several individuals and structures that have been imposed in connection with the Сrimea annexation and the Russian aggression in Donbas.

At the same time, former Acting Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Arbuzov and former Minister of Education Dmytro Tabachnyk who were in power under the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych were excluded from the sanctions list.

This was reported on Wednesday, March 3, by Radio Liberty correspondent in Brussels Ricard Jozwiak.

"EU ambassadors agreed to extend the sanctions on 177 ppl and 48 entities for 6 months accused of undermining the territorial integrity of #Ukraine. In a separate decision, they have also prolonged sanctions on Yanukovych + 7 others. Arbuzov & Tabachnyk de-listed," Jozviak tweeted.
