EU human rights sanctions against Russia, China, North Korea, South Sudan, Libya and Eritrea are now adopted, as was announced by journalist Ricard Jozvyak on his official Twitter.
According to him, the sanctions will affect 11 people and 4 organizations from China, Russia, Eritrea, North Korea, South Sudan and Libya.
The names will be published in the official EU journal later today.
According to Apostrophe, on March 17, the U.S. Department of Commerce reported an expansion of export restrictions on Russia due to the poisoning of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
Earlier, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that the U.S., together with the European Union, is preparing new sanctions against Russia due to the poisoning of oppositionist Alexei Navalny.
