U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Kyiv on Thursday in a show of support after Russia massed troops near Ukraine’s eastern border in a standoff that sent alarm bells ringing in Western capitals.
The plane of the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his deputy Victoria Nuland landed at Borispil airport around 23.50.
Antony Blinken’s visit to Ukraine is aimed to "underscore unwavering U.S. support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression," the U.S. Departmentof State said in a statement USA and Ukraine: Strategic Partners.
On May 6, U.S. Secretary of State has a number of meetings, discussing US-Ukraine relations, Russian aggression in Ukraine, reforms and assistance issues.
Secretary Blinken will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba as well as with the representatives of Ukrainian civil society and employees of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
The Secretary will encourage progress on Ukraine’s reform agenda, which is key to securing Ukraine’s democratic institutions, economic prosperity, and Euro-Atlantic future.

09:30 - meeting with Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. After half an hour of negotiations, they will visit the Memorial Wall near St. Michael's Cathedral to honor the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine
10:35 - meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
11:30-12:30 - meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Their joint press conference is scheduled for 12:40.
14:15 - round table with the representatives of Ukrainian civil society. The roundtable will be held entirely online.
15:15 -online meeting with the employees of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
After an interview with media representatives, which is scheduled for 3:50 p.m., Secretary Blinken will depart to the airport.
