The construction of the new Nord Stream-2 project is completed and the pipeline is ready for operation.
The correspondig statement was made by Gazprom's top manager, TASS reports.
During a closed conference call of Gazprom representatives and investors, Deputy Head of Gazprom's Department Alexey Finikov announced that the gas pipeline is ready for gas transportations and its construction is fully completed.
"The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is completed and ready for commercial launch," he said.
It's worth noting that Russia is ready to reduce the price of natural gas by more than half in order to retain energy control over Europe.
