Gazprom, the largest Russian gas production and distribution company, will have to pay a big fine for launching the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline without certification. This was reported by the German newspaper Handelsblatt.
A fine Gazprom will have to pay if it decides to launch the Nord Stream 2 pipeline without certification constitutes 1 million euros. The article states that at least 10 billion euros were invested in the construction of Nord Stream 2.
At the same time, it is noted that despite the fine, Gazprom will be able to "save up" by reducing gas transit costs through Ukraine.
It's worth noting that the United States of America announced the decision to impose additional sanctions in connection with the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
