On Tuesday, February 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held talks in Kyiv.
The “Apostrophe” highlighted the main points of the meeting.
- the security partnership between Ukraine and France is of particular importance;
- the next negotiations in the Normandy Four leaders can be held in the near future;
- Ukraine and France will continue to cooperate to de-occupy Crimea and Donbas;
- France and Germany will play the role of mediator to resolve the conflict;
- Ukraine confirms its readiness to implement the Minsk agreements;
- According to Macron, Putin also confirmed Russia's readiness to continue implementing the Minsk agreements;
- a new mechanism should be established in the near future to ensure de-escalation and security enhancement.
