Support for the introduction of peacekeepers into Ukraine is growing among NATO members

An increasing number of NATO member countries support the idea of sending an Alliance peacekeeping mission to Ukraine.

This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

According to him, several countries of the North Atlantic Alliance expressed their approval for the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, but the allies expect support and a final decision from the NATO leadership.

"We already know from the media over the past few days that there has been a positive reaction from Denmark and Lithuania. Today I can say that other Member States have expressed their approval, but they also expect some support and common voice from NATO. We also emphasize that this should be a NATO mission,"Moravetsky stressed.

The Polish Prime Minister also called on the allies to be ready to receive several millionUkrainian refugees. Skeptics who do not support sending a peacekeeping mission, Moravetsky offered to imagine that the whole "Ukraine turning into a bombed Mariupol, and millions of people fleeing to Europe."

"I think that today, looking at the barbaric behavior of Putin and Russians, Russian soldiers, we can imagine the worst scenarios. Unfortunately, I can imagine the worst scenarios, so this concept is becoming increasingly popular,"Moravetsky summed up, advocating the sending of NATO peacekeepers to Ukraine.
