While we are waiting for the US military aid to be send to Ukraine, Finland has started producing artillery ammunition to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was announced by Defense Minister Antti Hakkänen, Iltalehte informs.
According to him, the decision to increase the production of artillery ammunition will be made in the next few weeks.
"We have completed negotiations on how Finland will increase the production of heavy ammunition for the armament of Ukraine. This decision will come up soon," he said. Hakkänen added that the question will probably be resolved by Christmas, Dec. 25 and a plan to increase ammunition production is ready.
"The goal is to support Ukraine even more than we do now. At the same time, we continue to improve the military ammunition production in both Finland and the Scandinavian region," he said. Meanwhile, the spends for this reach tens of millions of euros.
