The Polish authorities announced their readiness to make compromises in the interests of their carriers, who have been blocking checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border since November 2023.

As noted, the Government and hauliers agreed to suspend the action. The last said that they give the authorities time until March 1, 2024. If before that time there is no solution that will satisfy them, the blockade will be resumed.
Polish Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak and representatives of the protesters signed a relevant agreement.
It is not yet known what compromises the authorities are ready to make. At the same time, the minister said that the issue is "complex and has been considered by us for many years." Relate to both the Ministry of Infrastructure and other areas of foreign and domestic policy.
"This is not the end of the dialog, on the contrary, we will hold intensive negotiations", - said Klimchak.
Earlier Reuters reported that hauliers will suspend their protest on January 17 at 13:00 Kyiv time, as they reached an agreement with the Government.
"Apostrophe" reported earlier that Polish farmers started blocking traffic at the checkpoint "Shehyni-Medyka" from 09.00, January 4.
