Zelensky offered Europe to give aid to refugees directly to Ukraine: "And we will already distribute it"

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that it is correct to support the country's economy if social aid to Ukrainian refugees abroad goes to Ukrainian budget and Ukraine distributes it further.

This opinion he expressed in an interview with the German TV channel ARD.

"If the Government wants to help Ukrainians, there is such a moment - for example, someone who has left the country and is abroad and receives support from Germany. .. But it happens that this person receives support from both you and us. .. And that is why I have always said that it would be much better for us if Germany supported Ukrainians by giving money to the budget of Ukraine, and then Ukraine would already distribute this money depending on where this person is," the President said.

According to him, some of Ukrainian money remained in Europe, because when people fled from the war, they took the money with them. And now this money is working for the economy of other states.

"Apostrophe" reported earlier that Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Romania and Lithuania have increased the minimum wage and hourly rates since January 1.
