Will Ukraine agree to "freeze" the war: Budanov gave a clear answer

Ukraine will not agree to "freeze" the war, although Russians would be very happy to force the recognition of the territory they captured.

This was stated by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR), Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with CBC News.

"In this case, they would celebrate victory. This will never happen," he said.

Budanov also confirmed that Russia had access to plans for a counteroffensive.

"I will not say more than the President. We received, let's say, information, evidence that the plans have become known to Russia. This is a serious problem, and we are taking certain actions," he added.

The Chief of GUR also noted that UAVs will never replace ground forces, but are only a way to support them.

"Drones can be used to inflict losses on the enemy. But until, like in medieval times, a soldier comes and plants a flag, nothing will change," Budanov emphasized.

Earlier, we wrote that GUR destroyed Russian missile boat "Ivanovets" in Crimea.
