The United States will not let Ukraine to fail: Pentagon chief's statement on Ramstein-20

During the 20th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting on March 20, Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin emphasized that the United States will not back down from helping Ukraine in the war and will continue to provide the resources necessary to fight.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin emphasized this at the beginning of the Ramstein-20 meeting.

He also said that the United States will not let Ukraine to lose the war.

Austin noted that: "Ukraine's troops face harsh conditions and hard fighting. And Ukraine's civilians are under a constant barrage of missiles and Iranian drones. But Ukraine will not back down, and neither the United States."

He assured that the US will not back down from helping Ukraine:

"Today, our message is clear: The United States will not let Ukraine fail. This coalition will not let Ukraine fail. And the free world will not let Ukraine fail."

The US Secretary of Defense mentioned that last week the United States announced an additional $300 million in security assistance for Ukraine's immediate needs, commenting on the decision as follows:

"This is an extraordinary measure in support of Ukraine's most urgent needs for air defense, artillery and anti-tank capabilities."

The Pentagon chief emphasized that the US was able to provide this assistance package due to the identified contract savings:

"We remain a deterrent to provide Ukraine with the resources it needs to resist the Kremlin's aggression."

Earlier, the NATO Secretary General made an important statement about F-16 fighter jets.
