Germany initiates audit of all Patriot systems in the world for transfer to Ukraine

Germany is initiating an analysis of all existing Patriot systems and other anti-aircraft missile systems in the world to transfer them to Ukraine.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba following the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers, Denys Popovych, editor-in-chief of Apostrophe, reports from Brussels.

According to the Ukrainian FM, the participants of the meeting were going to discuss preparations for the Washington Summit, but he came to Brussels with one goal - to ensure the delivery of the Patriot systems. According to Kuleba, this changed the focus of the discussion.

"Germany, as the head of the air defense coalition, is initiating an immediate analysis of all Patriot systems and other air defense systems in the world, and what can be done to ensure that these batteries are delivered to Ukraine. In addition, I have clearly indicated to our partners what kind of batteries are available to deliver to Ukraine. I asked them not to look for excuses, but to take them and deliver them," explained Dmytro Kuleba.

The Foreign Minister did not name the timeframe for the delivery of new anti-aircraft batteries to Ukraine, but noted that it would happen in the "foreseeable future."

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that before the meeting, FM Kuleba said that the main message he would like to convey to the allies is - Patriot systems.
