The weapons will be delivered: Biden signs law on military aid to Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden has signed a law on military aid to Ukraine.

This was reported by The New York Times.

It’s a good day for world peace. I just signed the law on the national security package. It’s going to make America safer, it’s going to make the world safer. It will help our partners defend their sovereign soil," the US President said. He added that the United States will begin transferring weapons to Ukraine in the near future.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces will receive a new $1 billion military aid package, which will include:

  • ammunition for air defense systems and HIMARS MLRS
  • cluster munitions;
  • Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and other weapons.

"This is an investment in our own security, because when our allies are stronger - and I want to emphasize this again and again - when our allies are stronger, we are stronger," Biden said.
