First of all, for critical needs: the White House explained what kind of aid will be provided to Ukraine

After President Joe Biden signs the Ukraine aid bill the US will immediately allocate packages to meet the critical needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This was stated by White House adviser John Kirby.

"Mr. Putin thinks he can play for time, so we’ve got to try to make up some of that time. So, what you’re going to see — as soon as the President can get the bill on his desk and he can sign it, you’re going to see us provide the kinds of capabilities they need most right now," he said.

Kirby added that during the summer and fall months, the United States will continue to communicate with the Ukrainian side about Kyiv's long-term strategy to repel Russian aggression. Based on the interaction, the next support packages for Ukraine will be adapted to meet these needs.

Kirby also confirmed the assessment that the US Congress' delay in approving an aid package for Ukraine has clearly affected the situation on the battlefield, as well as the safety of civilians.

"When the Russians are launching these massive drone and missile assaults, they know darn well that the Ukrainians are only going to be able to shoot so many of them down and some of them are going to get through," he said.

Earlier, Apostrophe wrote that the US Senate approved the allocation of military aid to Ukraine.
