Spain will provide Ukraine with the new batch of Leopard tanks, Patriot air defense systems, 155 mm artillery shells, anti-drone systems and other weapons.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
"I thanked the Minister of Defense of Spain Margarita Robles, for her country's decision to provide us with the next batch of Leopard tanks. I emphasized that we need more air defense systems to be more effective in confronting the enemy. This will enable Ukrainian defenders to counter the planes and guided bombs that the Russians are using to destroy our cities and villages," the Minister said.
Umerov also called on the Spanish Government and companies to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry.
Earlier, we reported that the EU Council approved the transfer of proceeds from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.
