Biden announces new military aid to Ukraine worth $225 million

US President Joe Biden has announced a new $225 million military aid package for Ukraine.

This was reported by a CNN correspondent.

Reporter Natasha Bertrand wrote that Biden announced a new $225 million aid package for Ukraine, which Zelensky thanked him for. The US President also apologized to his Ukrainian counterpart for the months-long delay in the supply of weapons.

The contents of the package have not been officially disclosed, but according to US media, it may include:

  • ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System HIMARS;
  • mortar systems and artillery shells;
  • missiles for HAWK air defense systems;
  • Stinger anti-aircraft missiles;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
  • 155-mm howitzers;
  • armored vehicles
  • patrol boats;
  • explosives and additional spare parts.
