Council Chairman Stefanchuk appeared in public after a break

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, did not appear in public last week, which gave rise to rumors of a possible serious illness , but on March 18 he had an eventful day.

This is reported by "Apostrophe", referring to information from the parliament's press service.

In particular, Stefanchuk presented honorary certificates on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada to employees of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.

He noted that the emergence of the NACP was an important stage in the development of transparent state institutions in the country. During the agency's work, many challenges were overcome. Now, the fight against corruption is even more relevant in times of war, because the trust of citizens and international partners in Ukraine depends on transparency and the rule of law.

Also on Tuesday, the Speaker of the Parliament held a conversation with his Swedish counterpart Andreas Norlen. They discussed the main aspects of Ukrainian-Swedish cooperation.

In particular, Stefanchuk expressed gratitude to Sweden for the 18th largest defense aid package of $1.23 billion, as well as for $138 million in humanitarian support. The country is also among the five largest donors of energy assistance to Ukraine and leads in the number of energy equipment supplied.

"Sweden not only consistently supports Ukraine, but also demonstrates the unity of all parliamentary parties in helping our country. Thank you Sweden for your strong solidarity!

"I hope that this unwavering support will continue," the Council Chairman added.

Let us remind you that on March 14, the source "Apostrophe" reported an alleged stroke Stefanchuk, however, his press secretary Vadym Kolodiychuk denied such information .
