"We are still waiting for you": Zelensky invited Vance to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that US Vice President Jay Dee Vance reconsider his decision not to visit Ukraine during the war.

This is stated in an interview with The Time.

Zelensky stressed that US President Donald Trump will understand that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is weaker than he seems. And a Russian victory would be a disaster not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire West, especially the US.

The head of state is also convinced that Trump and his team will not accept such a defeat.

"They have their own ambitions. They see their role in history not only as strong leaders, but also as those who can achieve a worthy end to the war. That's why I don't believe in these apocalyptic scenarios. Honestly, I don't," Zelenskyy noted.

In addition, the publication reports that in one of his recent phone conversations with Trump, Zelensky tried to recreate a scenario of what would happen if the ceasefire regime turned out to be vulnerable to endless violations by Russia.

Furthermore, all Ukrainian cities located along the front line will become like the "thousand Berlins" of the Cold War, walled off and divided, barely able to survive.

"Cities will become 'dead zones' on the map of Europe, and Trump wants to leave such a legacy," the Ukrainian president added.

At the same time, in the coming weeks, Zelensky will continue to convince Trump and US Vice President Jay D. Vance of this, appealing not to their narrow political interests, but to their principles as statesmen.

At the same time, during one of their last telephone conversations, Zelensky suggested that Vance reconsider his decision not to visit Ukraine during the war.

"We are still waiting for you," Zelenskyy said.

However, Vance has not yet responded.

It is worth adding that back in February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed some details of his first meeting with United States Vice President J.D. Vance at the Munich Conference, calling it "good."

Later, US Vice President J.D. Vance, when asked if he had been to Ukraine, replied that he had "seen the story." This phrase has already become a meme.

Later, a post by US Vice President J.D. Vance on Instagram regarding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's "disrespectful" attitude and attack on the Trump administration received over 130,000 comments from followers.
