Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Serhiy Leshchenko asked former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to thank the negotiator in Saudi Arabia Pavlo Palis.
Leshchenko wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
The politician recalled that the negotiator from Ukraine in Saudi Arabia is Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the President's Office, former brigade commander of the 93rd Kholodny Yar brigade.
"Before opening his mouth, Poroshenko should thank Pavlo for the opportunity to live in Ukraine, and not under the Russian flag. Although, perhaps, Poroshenko would be even more comfortable there," Leshchenko said.
At the same time, the leader of the European Solidarity faction, Petro Poroshenko, during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to immediately meet with the faction leaders.
"Last night, I was surprised to hear from US President Donald Trump in his evening briefing that the negotiations in Saudi Arabia are going very well. And that they are not discussing peace and a ceasefire, but discussing territories, maps, the transfer of nuclear power plants (not into management, but into ownership), positions on expanding the agreement on minerals, perhaps ports, perhaps railways," Poroshenko noted.
He added that it is unacceptable to learn about such important issues from foreign media, and the delegation and the president do not have the authority to discuss these topics without the consent of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"I insist that a meeting of faction leaders with the president be organized as soon as possible and that we have the opportunity to discuss this alarming, if not critical, situation. The authorities plan to engage in elections. This is why the opposition is being persecuted, this is why the longest and most expensive election commercial in history, called the "Unified Marathon," is being financed instead of the army; for this, law enforcement agencies are being turned into punitive ones; this is why the independence of the courts is being destroyed, local self-government is being destroyed. Because they are preparing for elections. And this means the death of unity, the weakening of the state, and ultimately, it plays into Putin's hands," the politician emphasized.
As is known, a meeting of Ukrainian and American delegations regarding the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took place in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
