Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has released intelligence data on Russia's preparations for new offensives. This time, the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia regions will be targeted.
This is stated in the statement of the head of state, the press service of the President's Office reports.
Zelensky noted that dragging out negotiations and seeking to draw the United States into endless discussions about "conditions" are aimed only at buying time.
"According to our intelligence, Russia is preparing for new offensives in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia regions. They are dragging out negotiations and trying to drag the US into endless, meaningless discussions about false 'conditions' in order to buy time and then try to seize even more land," he stressed.
According to the head of state, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin intends to negotiate about the territory from a stronger position, since his thoughts are only about war.
In view of this, he noted that Europe must do everything possible to protect.
"So, our job - all of us - is defense in the broadest sense of the word. That is, continued military assistance, but, in addition, we need investments, more joint projects, more joint production, more localization, everything that is aimed at scaling and developing our defense production - from shells to drones and missiles," he said.
He added that the underfunding of about 20 billion euros in the defense industry in Ukraine must be closed with the help of Russian assets.
As a reminder, on March 27, a meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" took place in Paris - representatives of 31 states. They discussed support for Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression and ways to a just and lasting peace.
We also wrote that Zelenskyy invited representatives of the "coalition of the willing" to Ukraine to create a plan for involving foreign forces .
