Zelenskyy's statement about Putin's imminent death was clarified

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received clarification on his statement about the imminent death of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

The corresponding explanations were provided to "Apostrophe" by Dmytro Lytvyn, advisor to the President of Ukraine on communications issues.

Recall that the other day, Zelensky, answering journalists' questions, stated that Putin would die soon.

"Putin will die soon, that's a fact, and everything will end," the Ukrainian president noted.

In turn, the advisor to the President of Ukraine, answering the question of "Apostrophe" whether Zelensky had any information about Putin's possible illness, noted that Zelensky, first of all, meant Putin's age, who is now 72 years old.

"This is generally about age and the fact that Putin's mental state is clearly weakening," said Dmitry Lytvyn.

As Apostrophe reported, this is not the first time Zelensky has predicted Putin's imminent death. For example, in February 2025, in an interview with The Economist, Zelensky said about Putin: "I have time, he doesn't. He will definitely die soon."
