Ukraine has submitted a counterproposal to Putin's idea of introducing external governance

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has proposed establishing a temporary United Nations (UN) administration in Russia, starting in Vorkuta.

This was announced by the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Heorhiy Tykhyi, on the social network Kh.

This is about the Ukrainian side's reaction in the form of a counter-proposal to the idea of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to "introduce external governance in Ukraine under the auspices of the UN and a number of countries in order to hold elections."

A Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that the Russian population could benefit significantly from any form of government except Putin, who is pouring billions of dollars into the war.

"UN Interim Administration in Russia, starting with Vorkuta. It seems that the local residents would benefit greatly from any government other than Putin, who is spending billions of dollars on his criminal war against Ukraine," Tykhy stated.

After these words of the Russian dictator, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement in which he emphasized that there is a legitimate government in Ukraine, and this fact demands respect.

"Ukraine has a legitimate government, and this, of course, must be respected," he told the media.

Putin's proposals were previously criticized by the European Commission and the German government. In particular, the German government emphasized that Zelensky is the legitimate president of Ukraine and is negotiating on behalf of the Ukrainians.

As Apostrophe wrote, back in February, the Russian dictator's rhetoric after talks with US leader Donald Trump was different. He then stated that he recognized Volodymyr Zelensky as the legitimate president of Ukraine and Russia's future partner in negotiations .
